UB40: the big news ...

In case you missed the announcement yesterday, BIG news from the UB40 camp.

To help celebrate their 30th anniversary, the band are heading out on the road to play their legendary début album, Signing Off, IN FULL and they've picked the Wolverhampton Civic Hall as one of the venues.

The date for the diary: 27th October - tickets on sale on FRIDAY 9am here

Originally released in August 1980, this is considered one of the greatest British reggae albums of ALL TIME and it spent 71 weeks in the charts, and went to number 2.

The band will also do a second set of the rest of their classic songs ... Have a listen to some of the songs from the album below

"2010 marks UB40’s 30th anniversary, three decades since we started this incredible journey. We had to ask ourselves “How can we celebrate? How can we say thanks to the fans for their unconditional support?” We decided to go back to where we started, downtown to the heart of the cities and the venues where we played our first gigs, then perform our first album ‘Signing Off’ in its entirety, something we have never done before. Of course, there will also be some surprises, but we’ll save them for the night.” UB40 saxophonist Brain Travers

Oh, and if your copy of the album is either buried in the loft, or has worn out, the record label are releasing a remastered version, with a bonus DVD .. enjoy!
