Road to Wolves: Family Force 5, Ian Watkins, Peter Murphy, Vanity of Kings and Out of Sight

Vanity of Kings have had a bumpy start to their UK tour. Seems the first night went well, and was pretty "messy" by all accounts - here's what they said on their Twitter account "Mart was sick, Greg got himself a new sofa. And the rest of passed out". Unfortunately the band were unable to play their show in Stoke after their van broke down. The guys play The Slade Rooms on Saturday night - tickets here

Twilight: Ecplise fans and old-school goths both getting very excited about the arrival of
Peter Murphy at the Slade Rooms on Sunday (tickets here). The former Bauhaus singer - who features in the hit vampire movie - will be peforming his solo work - wonder if he'll throw in any Bauhaus classics?
Sounds like Out of Sight had a great night at the Kerrang Awards - nominated for Best British Newcomer. Sadly they were pipped to the post by Rise to Remain. Catch them at the Slade Rooms on Wednesday (tickets here)

And finally definitely worth getting your tickets for
Family Force 5 if you are planning on coming along on Thursday (tickets here). Supported by Ian Watkins (Lostprophets) DJ outfit L'amour La Morgue some of the other dates on the tour are already sold out.

The date for the diary: 27th October - tickets on sale on FRIDAY 9am here

The band will also do a second set of the rest of their classic songs ... Have a listen to some of the songs from the album below

"2010 marks UB40’s 30th anniversary, three decades since we started this incredible journey. We had to ask ourselves “How can we celebrate? How can we say thanks to the fans for their unconditional support?” We decided to go back to where we started, downtown to the heart of the cities and the venues where we played our first gigs, then perform our first album ‘Signing Off’ in its entirety, something we have never done before. Of course, there will also be some surprises, but we’ll save them for the night.” UB40 saxophonist Brain Travers

Oh, and if your copy of the album is either buried in the loft, or has worn out, the record label are releasing a remastered version, with a bonus DVD .. enjoy!
