You guys have impeccable taste in music - and I'm not just saying that.

So we decided we're going to start getting your thoughts about some of the bands heading to Wolverhampton soon - so please pass this link around, comment or tweet away about the band under the spotlight ...

So today's band is YUCK

An unfortunate name in some respects, and open to abuse by any music journalist not liking them .. but at least it's got people talking.




So here's what you need to know:

• Yuck have been described as shoegaze, but at times they head into grunge territory with a definite Dinosaur Jr and Sonic Youth edge.
• The band consists of Danny and Max (ex Cajun Dance Party)
• The band release "Rubber" as a 12" on 26th October (you can hear the song streaming on their Myspace http://www.myspace.com/yuckband
• They've already supported Modest Mouse and Teenage Fanclub so are certainly picking up friends in all the right places ..
